This is the best hotel you are likely to find in the centre of Chumpton, all the other are backpacker types, so yes if you want to stay in a modern hotel with a degree of comfort and a pool this should be your choice.
The breakfast was not any better than oyu would get at a backpacker hostel.

Unexpected comforts by the pool
Woke up to a good breakfast arranged just for us. The staff were so cute. The pool was a lovely retreat.
The room was in need of a deeper clean, with some areas showing neglect. The mattress was a bit too firm for my liking, made for a less restful night.

A new, modern and fresh feeling hotel. Very pleasant, welcoming staff. Comfortable room with good sized bathroom. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a comfortable stop over - we travelled by road from Phuket to Bangkok via Chumphon.
I felt the breakfast could be improved. We had better breakfasts with a far greater choice at most other places we stayed at during our trip through Malaysia and Thailand. It us not the easiest hotel to find, but no problem using Garmin.

Centrally located, very clean rooms. Free dvds. Breakfast ok. Good thai restaurant opposite.
Rock hard pillows and only one english language channel which is silly because in the local backpackers hotel I noticed they had many.

Wonderful welcome from reception staff and especially Mr. Sillapudd, who was very, very informative and helpful. The hotel is lucky to have someone, whose English is so good, and is so keen to help. The hotel is almost brand new and everything looks pristine. The swimming pool area is very pleasant, and the public spaces and bedrooms are decorated in lovely fresh colours. The bedroom and bathroom (shower room) were again excellent and would do justice to many Bangkok hotel rooms. Lovely flat screen tv on wall, although only one English speaking channel !! dvd player, with free DVD's available at reception. Free wifi, which is wonderful, considering so many of the big hotels in Thailand still charge ridiculous rates for wifi use. Breakfast very adequate, with again charming staff. We had excellent omelettes. There is also a very good restaurant a few seconds walk from the a-te.
I know that bedding and pillows are a very personal choice, but, the pillows at a-te are so heavy and solid it is like putting ones head on a piece of wood !!! They do provide a very small softer one, but this is not big enough to sleep on. We will stay again, but we will take pillows with us.

This hotel offers a decent experience with a clean room and a nice breakfast selection. The staff could be more helpful and responsive, and the front entrance was hard to find. A budget-friendly choice in a good location.

A Hidden Gem with Room for Improvement
I appreciated the quick access to fresh fruits from the nearby market. A suggestion , pack your own pillow for extra comfort since the provided ones were a bit hard. It was a decent experience!

Close to the train station. It worked very well for us to catch the 7:00 ferry to Ko Tao. You can buy ferry tickets from the reception.
